Pinkishe Foundation, led by Aditi Gupta, recently organized a menstrual hygiene literacy session and pad distribution drive in Government School, Mandhela Kanan Village. This initiative aimed to empower girls with essential knowledge about menstruation while dispelling myths and misconceptions surrounding this natural process.
The session was highly interactive, with girls actively participating and sharing their knowledge about menstruation. However, what particularly captured their attention was learning about the size of the uterus, which is equivalent to the size of a fist. This revelation surprised many of the girls, highlighting the importance of providing accurate information about reproductive anatomy.
Another eye-opening moment for the participants was learning about the amount of blood lost during menstruation, which typically ranges from 30ml to 60ml. This fact sparked discussions and prompted further questions, demonstrating the girls' curiosity and eagerness to learn more about their bodies.
In line with our dedication to menstrual health education, we provided sanitary pads to all participants. This effort not only guaranteed access to crucial menstrual products but also underscored the significance of maintaining proper hygiene during menstruation.
Let's unite in our commitment to breaking barriers and equipping girls with the knowledge and tools they require to confidently navigate menstruation with dignity. Join us in our mission to educate, empower, and uplift girls in every community.
