The Menstrual Health and Hygiene Literacy Camp and Free Pads Donation Camp took place at Biswas Para, Tollygunge, Kolkata on July 7, 2024. Organized by Swapna Ghosh, a dedicated volunteer known for her commitment to raising awareness about menstrual health, the event aimed to empower women and girls by equipping them with essential knowledge and resources.
A total of 35 participants, including 24 women and 11 girls, benefited from the initiative. The camp focused on promoting menstrual health and hygiene through informative sessions and the distribution of necessary hygiene kits. Discussions were conducted to challenge the stigma associated with menstruation and ensure that all participants had access to crucial resources for managing menstrual health with dignity.
This event marked a significant milestone in raising awareness about menstrual health and ensuring access to hygiene products within the community. Participants left with increased knowledge and essential supplies, contributing to their overall well-being and empowerment.
