Event Overview:

The goal of the session was to increase individuals knowledge about menstrual health. It covered a wide range of issues, including the physiological elements of menstruation, good sanitation habits, and how to confidently manage menstrual health. The primary purpose of this seminar was to dispel myths and minimize stigma surrounding menstruation by presenting correct facts. During the event, Upasana led a poignant activity in which the girls were encouraged to write about their first menstrual experience. This activity highlighted a common theme: most of the girls had no idea what was going on with their body when they first began menstruating. They experienced considerable anxiety and grave challenges in transitioning to this new phase of life.
Given that the population at large was predominantly uninformed, these experiences revealed a crucial deficit in menstrual health education. The event was eye-opening for these young girls, providing them with the information they needed to understand and manage their menstrual health. The activity not only allowed individuals to share their personal tales, but it also created a supportive environment in which their concerns could be addressed.

Resource Distribution:

In addition to the educational component, the event featured the distribution of free menses pads. Access to sanitary items is critical for monthly hygiene, and this program acknowledged the economic hurdles that many of these girls experience. By offering these resources, the event ensured that the recipients could manage their menstrual health in dignity and confidence.

Conclusion

This session was more than merely an educational opportunity; it was a crucial move in strengthening young females in the region. Upasana and others like her have a concrete impact on the lives of these young women by pairing menstrual education with the distribution of essential commodities.
